鈕 (Kangxi radical 167, 金+4, 12 strokes, cangjie input 金弓土 (CNG), four-corner 87115, composition ⿰釒丑)
Phono-semantic compound (形聲/形声, OC *nuʔ) : semantic 金 (“metal”) + phonetic 丑 (OC *n̥ʰuʔ).
Possibly from Proto-Sino-Tibetan *s-na ~ s-naːr (“nose”); see there for more discussion.
The Manchu surname is clipping of 鈕祜祿/钮祜禄 (Niǔhùlù), from Manchu ᠨᡳᠣᡥᡠᡵᡠ (niohuru, “a wolf”).
