Vinay Kumar[1] is an Indian politician, social worker, incumbent Member of Legislative Assembly for Sri Renukaji Assembly constituency[2] and ongoing deputy speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly and Former Chief Parliamentary Secretary of the Government of Himachal Pradesh.[3][4] He is also serving as Working president of Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee.[5]

Vinay Kumar was born in a agriculturist family in Vill.Maina Bagh,Sri Renukaji Assembly constituency Sirmaur district Himachal Pradesh,the son of Late Prem Singh and Vidya Devi. He pursued his schooling from Bishop Cotton School Shimla. In his schooling Kumar was very active in sports especially in Marathons.Kumar is married to Seema Bhushan,and have a son and a daughter.
