History

Round2hell was launched on October 20, 2016, by childhood friends Zayn Saifi, Nazim Ahmed, and Wasim Ahmad, all hailing from Moradabad.

Initially, the group experimented with football montage videos, which received limited attention. Their shift to comedy sketches marked a turning point, with their 15th video, "Jio Users After 31st March," going viral in 2017 due to its timely commentary on the end of Reliance Jio’s free data offer.[4]

The name "Round2hell" reportedly originated from a spontaneous idea by Zayn Saifi, inspired by a drifting incident he likened to a "round to hell," though the trio has stated it was chosen somewhat arbitrarily.[2]

Over time, the channel expanded its scope to include narrative-driven short films and science fiction themes, alongside its comedic roots.

Members

The original core members of Round2hell are Zayn Saifi, Wasim Ahmad, and Nazim Ahmed. While they often collaborate with additional actors and crew for their short films and videos, these individuals are not considered part of the main group.[5][6][7]

Content and style

Round2hell’s content primarily consists of Hindi-language comedy sketches, often featuring exaggerated characters and relatable scenarios drawn from Indian daily life.[8]

Themes include friendship, family dynamics, romance, and societal quirks, delivered with a mix of slapstick humor and witty dialogue.[8]

The group has also ventured into longer-form content, such as the short films Zombie the Living Dead (2021), 1959 (2021), and Age of Water (2022), which blend comedy with thriller, drama, and science fiction elements.[9]

Performances

They have been invited to events like YouTube FanFest in Delhi, marking their transition from online creators to recognised entertainers.[10]

In 2023, they collaborated with Netflix India for a promotional video, "Is Time Travel Possible?" and received the Sketch Comedy Creator of the Year award at Creators United 2023.[11][12]

The group operates a secondary channel, Round2hell Vlog, dedicated to travel and personal updates.
