Michael J. McGlynn served as the 31st Mayor of Medford, Massachusetts, from 1988–2016.[1] He also served from 1977–1988 as a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives representing the 37th Middlesex District (Medford/Malden).[1]

McGlynn graduated from Arlington Catholic High School in 1971. He then attended University of Massachusetts Boston, where he graduated in 1976 with a bachelor's degree in political science/ History.[1]
McGlynn is married to Sheila (Halmkin) McGlynn and they have 3 daughters, Kathleen, Jennifer, and Amanda.[1] He is the son of former Medford Mayor & City Councilor John J. McGlynn.
McGlynn made a number of successful contributions as Mayor for the city of Medford in his 28 years in office.
