No crew was found, but the vessel was found to contain 649 kilograms (1,431 lb) of cocaine. The wreck occurred approximately one week prior to 17 December, but the discovery of the cargo was not made until 17 December. The boat was not flagged under any country, and may be from Central or South America, and may have been at sea up to two years before appearing at Ailuk.[181] |
