  1. From 2012 to 2017, Poland stopped all activities at the embassy in Damascus. In 2017, a separate Chargé d'Affaires for Syria was appointed and activities were resumed. The Charge d'affaires resides in Beirut but travels often to Damascus to determine the security situation.
