Upper Brookville is a village located within the Town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, on the North Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 1,786 at the time of the 2020 census.

The village is named for the brook which once ran along its main road, Wolver Hollow.[2] Although the village is physically lower than the surrounding areas, resident Hope Goddard Iselin opposed the name of Lower Brookville, stating "I refuse to live in lower anything. If you must call it something, and I suppose you must, call it Upper Brookville." Subsequently, Upper Brookville became its name.[3]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 4.3 square miles (11 km2), all land.[4]
As of the census[6] of 2000, there were 1,801 people, 568 households, and 483 families residing in the village. The population density was 418.5 inhabitants per square mile (161.6/km2). There were 599 housing units at an average density of 139.2 per square mile (53.7/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 83.23% White, 5.66% African American, 0.11% Native American, 7.22% Asian, 0.39% from other races, and 3.39% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5.33% of the population.
There were 568 households, out of which 42.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.8% were married couples living together, 7.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 14.8% were non-families. 12.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 5.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.14 and the average family size was 3.41.
In the village, the population was spread out, with 28.7% under the age of 18, 5.9% from 18 to 24, 24.4% from 25 to 44, 27.5% from 45 to 64, and 13.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females, there were 94.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.2 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $140,861, and the median income for a family was $162,799. The per capita income for the village was $65,254. About 2.2% of families and 2.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 3.8% of those under age 18 and 3.3% of those age 65 or over.
