Omari 'The Banger' Jones (/oʊˈmɑːriː/ oh-MAR-ee; born November 7, 2002)[1][2] is an American boxer.[3][4] He competed at the 2021 AIBA World Boxing Championships, winning the silver medal in the welterweight division.[5] Omari competed for the United States in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, winning the bronze metal in the 71 kg Welterweight division.[6]

Omari Jones is from Orlando, FL. He grew up practicing multiple martial arts; starting with karate lessons at age 4, followed by boxing at age 8.[7] Coached by his father, Karl Jones, Omari continues to train in Florida. He is currently a student at Valencia College in Orlando.[8]
