Walmart Inc. is the largest retailer in the world and one of the five largest corporations in the world by sales. As of 2022, the company is operational in Canada, Chile, China, India, Mexico, Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States.[citation needed] Walmart ceased to be operational in Argentina, Brazil and Japan in previous years, as its ventures failed in those countries.[citation needed] Earlier, in 2006, the company lost its stores in Germany and South Korea.
10,586 total units as of October 31, 2022, including 4,720 Walmart U.S. stores, 5,266 Walmart International stores and 600 Sam's Clubs[1][2]
