Yr urdd o bryfed sy'n cynnwys gweision y neidr a mursennod yw Odonata. Mae'n cynnwys tua 5,900 o rywogaethau.[1] Mae ganddynt ddau bâr o adenydd mawr, coesau pigog, teimlyddion byr a llygaid cyfansawdd mawr.[2][3] Mae'r larfâu'n byw mewn dwr lle maent yn bwydo ar infertebratau gan fwyaf.[3] Mae'r oedolion yn hela pryfed wrth hedfan.[2]
