І́шчална[1] (трансліт.: Iščalna, руск.: Ищелно) — вёска ў Шчучынскім раёне Гродзенскай вобласці, на рацэ Ішчалнянка. Уваходзіць у склад Мажэйкаўскага сельсавета. Насельніцтва 76 чал. (2001). Знаходзіцца за 12 км на паўночны ўсход ад Шчучына, за 8 км ад чыгуначнай станцыі Скрыбаўцы.

За 0,4 км на паўднёвы ўсход ад вёскі знаходзіцца Ішчальнянскае радовішча мелу. Паклад у выглядзе адорвеня залягае ў тоўшчы марэнных адкладаў сожскага зледзянення (пяскі, супескі).
Першы пісьмовы ўспамін пра Ішчалну датуецца 1515 годам, калі падкаморы надворны, староста эйшышкаўскі Андрэй Давойнавіч заснаваў тут касцёл Найсвяцейшай Тройцы. Мясцовасць уваходзіла ў склад Лідскага павета Віленскага ваяводства. У 1547 годзе Станіслаў Давойнавіч паводле прывілея вялікага князя Жыгімонта Старога заклаў у Iшчалне мястэчка[2]. У 1573 годзе ваявода полацкі Станіслаў Давойна (сын Станіслава Давойнавіча) перадаў касцёлу тры вёскі з 380 прыгоннымі і абавязаў маёнтак аплачваць працу трох святароў.
На працягу XVII ст. маёнткам і мястэчкам валодалі Лімонты, Вішнявецкія, Палупяты, Радзімінскія-Францкевічы, Скарбек-Важынскія. Станам на 1690 год тут налічвалася 53 двары.
У часы Вялікай Паўночнай вайны (1700—1721) у 1708 годзе Ішчалну занялі шведскія войскі, якія паразбівалі касцельныя званы. У 1711 годзе пачалася перабудова касцёла. Да яе заканчэння ў Вільні заказалі сонечны гадзіннік, які захаваўся да нашых дзён.
У 1740 годзе Ішчална перайшла ў валоданне Яна Вала, які збудаваў тут сядзібу. У 1758 годзе яго сын гарадзенскі харунжы Ю. Вал збудаваў мураваны касцёл у барочным стылі, асвечаны ў 1761 годзе ў імя Найсвяцейшай Тройцы (на 1781 лічыў 1255 парафіян). У 1770 годзе адкрыўся шпіталь для нямоглых і калек. У часы паўстання Тадэвуша Касцюшкі (1794) у ваколіцах Ішчалны дзейнічаў аддзел паўстанцаў пад камандай Хлявінскага. На шляху з мястэчка ў Шчучын адбылося некалькі баёў паміж паўстанцамі і царскімі войскамі, у якіх апошнія панеслі значныя страты.
У выніку трэцяга падзелу Рэчы Паспалітай (1795) Ішчална апынулася ў складзе Расійскай імперыі, у Шчучынскай воласці Лідскага павета Віленскай губерні. Існавалі аднайменныя мястэчка і вёска, якімі валодалі Скарбек-Важынскія. Станам на 1863 год тут было 5 жылых будынкаў, на 1885 — касцёл, вінакурны завод, 2 карчмы. Паводле вынікаў перапісу (1897) — 14 двароў, паштовая станцыя. На 1905 існавалі аднайменныя вёска (75 дзесяцін зямлі) і маёнтак (1112 дзесяцін зямлі).
У Першую сусветную вайну ў 1915 годзе Ішчалну занялі кайзераўскія войскі.
У 1919—1920 гадах Ішчална знаходзілася пад уладай бальшавікоў, затым польскага войска. Згодна з Рыжскім мірным дагаворам (1921) мястэчка апынулася ў складзе міжваеннай Польскай Рэспублікі, у Шчучынскай гміне Лідскага павета Навагрудскага ваяводства.
У гэты час існавалі аднайменныя вёска (7 двароў) і фальварак (16 будынкаў). У 1930 годзе адкрылася пачатковая польская школа і шавецкае вучылішча для дзяўчат, у 1932 годзе — цагельны завод. Апошнімі ўладарамі Ішчалны да 1939 года былі шляхціцы Ласковічы. Пан Ласковіч на старым месцы збудаваў новы палац у класічным стылі, заклаў парк. Вакол палаца было шмат гаспадарчых пабудоў: вінакурня, млыны, дзве карчмы. Да нашага часу захаваліся толькі некалькі гаспадарчых пабудоў, ад палаца засталіся толькі руіны.
У 1939 годзе Ішчална ўвайшла ў БССР, з 12 кастрычніка 1940 года ў складзе Гардзеевіцкага сельсавета Жалудоцкага раёна (з 17 красавіка 1962 года ў Шчучынскім раёне). Статус паселішча панізілі да вёскі. Станам на 1940 год існавалі фальварак (18 дамоў) і колішні маёнтак (28 пабудоў). У 1965 годзе вёска перададзена са скасаванага Вялікабаярскага сельсавета ў Шчучынскі сельсавет[3], у 1965—1966 гадах — у складзе Шчучынскага сельсавета[4], з 1966 года вёска ў Мажэйкаўскім сельсавеце. На 1995 год у вёсцы было 38 двароў, на 1 студзеня 2001 года — 76.
