TrueMotion VP6是由On2 Technologies所推出的視訊壓縮編解碼器（video codec），效能更勝之前的VP3與VP5。廣泛應用於各大视频网站的Adobe Flash视频之中。
2003年5月VP6壓縮編解碼器首次亮相[1]。2003年10月，On2官方宣布推出TrueMotion VP6 codec[2]。2003年11月，On2宣稱VP6被中國的Enhanced Versatile Disc（EVD）所采用。北京E-世界選擇VP6編解碼器作為EVD格式的視訊編碼方法。2005年8月，VP6被Flash Player 8影片編碼器所採用[3][4]。
