生平
曾任北京衛戍區警衛三師第11偵察大隊3連連長，1986年率部參加老山戰役並獲得「偵察英雄」之美譽[1]。之後擔任警衛三師師參謀長、師長，2010年，任第65集團軍副軍長。2013年12月，任山西省軍區司令員[2][3]。2015年5月，接替退休的山西省軍區原政委張少華少將任中共山西省委常委[4]。2016年8月，任內蒙古軍區司令員[5]，2019年7月卸任[6]。
2011年7月，晉升中國人民解放軍少將軍階。2018年1月，當選第十三屆全國政協委員丶卸任內蒙古軍區司令員後覆新蘭州軍區善後辦副主任 [7]。[8]
