製備

三碘化鋂可以由三氯化鋂和碘化銨反應而成：^[3]

性質

三碘化鋂是一種淺黃色的離子化合物，由Am³⁺和I⁻離子組成。它是三方晶系的，空間群 R3 (No. 148)，晶格參數 a = 742 pm和c = 2055 pm。它的晶體結構和碘化鉍同構（英語：Isomorphism_(crystallography)）。^[3][2]
