起源
沐姓的起源传说，大都指是源于端木姓。《通志·氏族略》载：“汉有沐宠，为东平太守。状云：端木赐之后，避难改为沐氏。” 又《东鲁端木氏小宗家谱》载：“为避难，将木氏改为沐氏。端木，古又称端沐。”沐姓于明代因沐英而成为云南望族，详见明黔国公世系图。
