大气河流

大气河流，或又称为大气长河，是大气中由高浓度水蒸气形成的狭窄区域。大气河流经由狭窄通路输送水蒸气，通常沿着大面积流动的空气的边界，例如与在海洋上形成的热带气旋相关的一些区域。^{[1][2][3][4][5][6]}凤梨急流是最知名的大气河流，因从盛产凤梨的夏威夷群岛将水汽带到美国西岸而得名。^[7][8]

气象卫星拍摄东太平洋的水汽影像，显示2010年12月抵达加州的大气河流。这场暴雨造成12月17-22日间加州高达26英寸（66 cm）的降雨量，以及内华达山脉高达17英尺（520 cm）的降雪量

2015年12月5日的西半球降雨量显示图。从图中可看出一道从加勒比海到英国的大气河流，此条大气河流主要由戴斯蒙德风暴（英语：Storm Desmond）引起的。西太平洋上可看到源自菲律宾，并延伸至北美西岸的第二条大气河流。
