背斑海猪鱼，为辐鳍鱼纲鲈形目隆头鱼亚目隆头鱼科的其中一种，分布于东太平洋区，从墨西哥至秘鲁海域，栖息深度0-10米，体长可达25.4公分，栖息在沿岸水浅、褐藻生长的岩石海域，属肉食性，以棘皮动物、甲壳类、软体动物等为食，生活习性不明。
