Lowe Thompson1929年著作《The History of the Devil – The Horned God of the West Herne》中,作者认为猎人赫恩和其他欧中传说中的鬼猎人来源相同,并认为“Herne”可能与高卢人的神祇瑟农诺斯之名起源相同。 [5][6][7]
