简介
Portishead的团名来自英国北萨默塞特郡一个同名的小镇，位于布里斯托市的西边。[2] 该小镇为Portishead成员Geoff Paul Barrow年少时曾居住过的地点。在他15岁时，Barrow搬到邻近的布里斯托市，在那，他认识了主唱Beth Gibbons，以及随后入团的吉他手Adrian Francis Utley。
Portishead的首张专辑Dummy获得1995年的水星音乐奖，也在2003年排上滚石杂志五百大专辑的第419名。[3][4]
