世俗主義（英語：secularism），是一種在社會生活和政治活動中，擺脫宗教組織控制的主張。

定義
在某種意義上，世俗主義維護了教育的權利，並擺脫宗教組織的條例，讓人民擁有更多的宗教自由，保障有宗教信仰的人在宗教組織內的言論自由，保持對信仰實體中立的狀態，不給任何宗教組織特權和補貼。換句話來說，世俗主義認為人們的活動和作出的決定，尤其是在政治方面，應根據證據和事實進行，而不應受宗教信仰偏見的影響。[1]
