(Ministry of the Solicitor General of Canada),由此設立了加拿大法務部長的職位(ministerial office of the Solicitor General of Canada)。《法務部法令》(Department of the Solicitor General Act)最終於1985年通過。[1]
(Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness),該部門現通稱為加拿大公共安全部(Public Safety Canada),職權範圍亦有所擴大。 [2]
