生平
1976年2月，加入中國人民解放軍陸軍第十一軍31師炮兵團指揮連。1991年6月至1997年4月，先後任中國人民解放軍陸軍第十四集團軍31師炮兵團政委、93團政委、91團政委。1997年4月，任第14集團軍31師政治部主任。1998年12月，任31師副政委。1999年12月，任31師政委。2004年8月，任第14集團軍政治部主任。2008年12月，任中國人民解放軍貴州省軍區政委。2009年3月，任中共貴州省委常委、貴州省軍區政委。2014年3月，任雲南省軍區政委[1]。2014年5月，任中共雲南省委常委、省軍區政委[2][3]。2014年12月，任蘭州軍區副政委[4]。
2015年12月31日，進入新成立的中國人民解放軍陸軍首任領導班子，出任副政委[5]。2016年5月，任北部戰區副政委兼北部戰區陸軍政治委員[6]。2018年2月24日，當選為第十三屆全國人大代表[7]。
