製備

六水合氟矽酸鎘可以由碳酸鎘和氟矽酸反應，從溶液中結晶得到。^[2]

性質

氟矽酸鎘是一種無色固體，可溶於水。^[1]六水合物在 170 °C 時失水。^[3]也有文獻指出它失水時即分解，放出SiF₄，^[4]並水解得到無定形SiO₂。^[5]它屬三方晶系，空間群R3 (No. 148)。^[6]

毒性

氟矽酸鎘是有毒的，會致癌，傷害器官。^[1]
