生平
嘉慶十九年（1814年）甲戌科進士，殿試居二甲第二十二名，翰林院庶吉士。[1]散館改知縣，曾任新喻、寶應、江陰知縣，泰州知州。精通史學，有《三國志地理考》，及《紀元通考》十二卷等，文選有《鍾秀山房詩文集》。
