發現

燒綠石最初於1826年於Stavern (Fredriksvärn), Larvik, Vestfold, Norway發現,其名稱源於古希臘語πῦρ「火」和χλωρός「綠色」——它在經典吹管分析中燃燒會變綠。[3]
