歷史
加里薩大學成立於2011年，前身是加里薩教師培訓學院.[1]
學校圖書館建立於1996年，後來作為學院的教學資源，2006年補齊了人員配置。[2]
它是肯雅東北省第一所也是唯一一所提供大學學位的高等教育機構。[1] The institution provides courses in the schools of education, information science, and arts and social sciences.
大學校長是Prof. Ahmed Warfa，副校長（財務）是Prof. Kirimi Kiriamiti，副校長（學術）是Prof. Genevieve Mwayuli。目前學校有75名教員。[3]
