上位豬籠草(學名:Nepenthes diatas)是蘇門答臘特有的熱帶食蟲植物[2],存在於海拔2400米至2900米處[3]。其種加詞「diatas」來源於印尼文「diatas」,意為「上方」。

1997年,馬修·傑布和馬丁·奇克在他們的專著《豬籠草屬(豬籠草科)的框架性修訂》中正式描述了上位豬籠草,其發表於植物學雜誌《布盧姆》。[1]但其學名至少在1994年就已開始使用了。[4]
尚未有關於上位豬籠草的變型或變種的描述。
2001年,查爾斯·克拉克對來自蘇門答臘島和西馬來西亞的豬籠草進行了分支系統學分析,共利用了70個形態特徵。以下為豬籠草進化樹的「第3分支」,包含了上位豬籠草及其他三個相關的物種。[5]
