凱文·拉米

凱文·拉米（英語：Kevin Larmee，1946年—）^[1]是一位美國畫家，以參加了1980年代在紐約東村舉行的藝術活動而為人熟知。

早年生活

出生於新澤西州里奇菲爾德帕克（英語：Ridgefield Park, New Jersey），成長於伊利諾斯州芝加哥的郊區。^[2]1965-1967年間就讀於當時位於伊利諾斯州芒特卡勒爾的夏默學院，並於1967-1968年間就讀於聖弗朗西斯科藝術學院（英語：San Francisco Art Institute）。至1969-1970年後，又重新返回夏默學院進修。^[3]

之後凱文·拉米在1979年與妻子Susan Isono移居紐約，和他們在1985年出生的兒子布萊斯·拉米Blaise Larmee（英語：Blaise Larmee）居住在SoHo區。^[1]

繪畫

在1980年代初，伴隨着對眾多新畫廊的引進，紐約的藝術街開始從SoHo區轉移到東村。^[4]1984年，感到自己的工作沒有得到藝術界的足夠重視，凱文·拉米開始在深夜將他的大型壁畫置於曼哈頓藝術中心附近建築物的牆壁上。^[5][6][7]他會定期檢查並維護這些壁畫並防止被塗鴉。^[2]這些壁畫在被清除或者損壞前，有時會保留幾個月之久。 ^[6][8]

凱文·拉米很快在美國紐約及其他地方的畫廊展出，並繼續創造街頭藝術。^[4][5][7] 凱文·拉米成為由畫廊藝術家組建的街頭藝術運動的一份子，^[2]在上世紀80年代作為下東城B大道的畫廊代表者。畫廊在近十年後結束。^[6][8][9]凱文·拉米在布魯克林藝術博物館第二十四屆全國版畫展會上展出了作品《今天美國的版畫》，1986年走遍國家的各種博物館。^[10]他在1985年創作的香煙石版畫是布魯克林藝術博物館的永久收藏之一，^[11]大急流城藝術博物館（英語：Grand Rapids Art Museum）,印第安納波利斯藝術博物館（英語：Indianapolis Museum of Art）和托萊多藝術博物館（英語：Toledo Museum of Art）等也都有收藏他的作品。^[12]1989年，凱文·拉米和家人搬到芝加哥，在那裡繼續繪畫。^[13]

風格

凱文·拉米上世紀80年代的版畫背景通常是夜間的城市環境，將一到兩個孤立個體置於空無一人的街道，地鐵站台^[5]或有波光的水紋前，^[14]將強烈的色彩，多層次圖案和人物結合起來。^[13]他的這一技巧被描述為「寬鬆的畫筆和粗糙的質感」。^[5]紐約時報在1986年寫到，他在地鐵站台上的版畫「收集移動列車的能量來擺動。」^[4]他的街頭版畫的代表作是手夾香煙的金髮男人，一個男人站着，手夾香煙，空洞的眼睛盯着地面，身後是紐約的天際線。 ^[7] 受印象派的影響，他的作品往往有大量的油漆和紋理，使用平面人物來創作。^[6][15]
