東部藏語群

東部藏語群是一小群藏語支語言，分布在不丹東部和西藏、印度的臨界區域。有：

• 達克巴語（Dakpa）（達旺門巴語）
• 地扎拉語（Dzala）
• 尼恩語（Nyen、Phobjip）
• 查理語（Chali）
• 布姆唐語（Bumthang）
• 堪語（Kheng）
• 庫爾托普語（Kurtöp）
• 努普比語（Nupbi）

無我一開始假設奧勒語也屬於東部藏語群，但隨後將其分出，自成一支。^[1]:31–39

雖然東部藏語群內部關係密切，但是不丹東部倉洛語和其他近緣語言也在宗喀語之前就被稱為「門巴語」，形成藏語支的姐妹分支。^{[2]:87–105[3]:915}因此有歧義的「門巴語」會將本應歸於一類的語言分開，並將沒那麼近的語言放在一起。^[4]:4–7扎話顯然也有親緣關係，不過受格曼語或一種相似語言強烈影響。^[5]
