ppc64

ppc64是Linux、GCC和LLVM開源軟件社區內常用的，指目標架構為64位PowerPC和Power Architecture處理器並對此優化的應用程序的標識符。^[1]

ppc64le是一個已經推出了純小端模式，POWER8（英語：POWER8）作為首要目標，OpenPower基金會基礎的技術，試圖使基於x86的Linux軟件的移植工作以最小的工作量進行。^[2]

這兩個標識符常見於開源軟件編譯時標識目標架構。^[3]

PowerPC 970在2003年發布，是為消費型電腦開發的第一款64位處理器之一，PowerMac G5在本例。

64位元Power和PowerPC處理器如下：

• PowerPC 620（英語：PowerPC 600#PowerPC 620）
• RS64（英語：RS64） Apache、RS64-II Northstar、RS64-III Pulsar/IStar和RS64-IV SStar
• POWER3（英語：POWER3）和POWER3-II
• POWER4（英語：POWER4）和POWER4+
• PowerPC 970（英語：PowerPC 970）、PowerPC 970FX、PowerPC 970MP和PowerPC 970GX
• POWER5和POWER5+
• 在Cell BE、PowerXCell 8i和Xenon中的PPE。
• PWRficient（英語：PWRficient）
• POWER6和POWER6+
• POWER7（英語：POWER7）和POWER7+
• 在藍色基因計算芯片中使用的A2。
• PowerPC e5500（英語：PowerPC e5500）
• PowerPC e6500（英語：PowerPC e6500）
• POWER8（英語：POWER8）和CP1
• POWER9（英語：POWER9）
• POWER10

Motorola G5（英語：Motorola G5 project）和PowerPC e700（英語：PowerPC e700）已停產。
