生平
1959年9月至1964年8月，在吉林大學法律系學習。1964年8月至1981年10月，任第二機械工業部605所組織部、宣傳部幹部。1972年9月，加入中國共產黨。1981年10月至1982年8月，任天津市人民檢察院研究室幹部、副科長。1982年8月至1983年6月，任天津市人民檢察院研究室副主任。1983年6月至1985年8月，任天津市人民檢察院檢察長、黨組書記[1]。1985年8月至1994年3月，任最高人民檢察院副檢察長、黨組成員、檢察委員會委員（1990年11月至1991年10月兼任政治部主任）。1994年3月起，任最高人民檢察院副檢察長、黨組副書記、檢察委員會委員，一級大檢察官[2]。中共第十五屆中央候補委員[3]。
