王嗣奭 （1566年—1648年），字右仲，號于越，明鄞縣人。
萬曆二十八年（1600年）舉人，歷任黃岩教諭、萬曆四十七年（1619年）任宣平教諭，改龍泉教諭。萬曆三十六年（1608年）丁憂居喪其間，開始研讀杜詩，慨嘆：「（少陵）未見有真知己」，「吾觀自宋迄今，諸名家屍注老杜，字摹句剽，不遺餘力矣」[1]。崇禎六年（1633年），擔任四川涪州知府，因為得罪上司被罷官，家居浙江會稽。明亡後不仕，說「吾以此為薇，不畏餓也。」自比夷、齊。清兵南下，嗣奭堅拒不出。著有《杜臆》、《蜜娛齋集》。仇兆鰲說：「宋元以來，注家不下數百……各有所長，其最有發明者，莫若王嗣奭之《杜臆》。」[2]
