一角鲸科（学名：Monodontidae）又称 独角鲸科，在鲸下目中种类较少，现存两属两种：具有长角（仅有雄性）的一角鲸以及纯白的白鲸，分布于北冰洋以及大西洋和太平洋北部。两种都是中型鲸鱼，3-5 米长，具有明显的额隆，不具有明显的吻突也不具有背鳍，但背脊有隆起。一角鲸科物种透过各种各样的声音进行社交互动。和其他齿鲸一样，它们也会透过回声定位探测环境^[1]。白鲸栖息于大西洋及太平洋的最北端，一角鲸则仅栖息于大西洋及北冰洋。

一角鲸科为食性多样的肉食性动物，以鱼类、软体动物及小型甲壳类为食。白鲸仅有数颗牙齿，一角鲸则只有两颗，其中一颗在雄性会延长形成长角。妊娠期为 14 至 15 个月，多半仅会产下一头幼鲸。幼鲸两岁后断奶，五至八岁达到性成熟。一角鲸为群体行动，有时族群数量可达数百头个体^[1]。

一角鲸科与海豚科、鼠海豚科组成海豚总科。基因研究显示鼠海豚科与一角鲸科亲缘关系较近，两者组成一演化支并于 11 百万年前与其他海豚总科分家^[2]^[3]。
