印度政府（印地语：भारत सरकार），正式名称为联邦政府（संघीय सरकार），亦称作中央政府（केन्द्रीय सरकार），是根据《印度宪法》成立并管辖印度诸邦与联邦属地的机关，统称为印度共和国。总部位于印度首都新德里。

政府由行政、立法和司法三个分支组成。行政机关之首为总统，是国家元首，直接或通过其下属行使权力^[1]。立法机关（即印度议会）由人民院和联邦院以及议长组成。司法机关由印度最高法院、21个高级法院，以及地区层面的各民事、刑事和家庭法院组成。

总统

宪法赋予印度总统行政权力（主要通过第53(1)条）。同时，根据宪法第74条，总统依照以政府首脑（印度总理）为首的部长会议的建议行使职权。总统任命能够在人民院得到大多数支持的人为总理（通常是多数党或联盟领袖）。总统根据总理的意见任命部长会议（内阁）的其他成员。

副总统

副总统是印度政府的行政机关中第二最高级别的人员，次于总统。宪法规定副总统为法定的联邦院主席。当总统死亡、辞职或被罢免，副总统会署任总统职务最多6个月，直至由议会两院及各邦议会当选议员组成选举团选出新任总统为止。在此期间，副总统不执行联邦院主席的职责。

内阁

印度内阁包括总理以及35个内阁部长，他们必须是印度议会两院之一的成员。内阁部长是不同部门的负责人，其下有国务部长，负责特定范畴，直接向内阁部长汇报。另有独立主持部务的国务部长，不隶属于内阁部长。

司法机关

印度独立司法体系自英国殖民时期开始。印度最高法院是最高司法机关，有权解释宪法、审理中央政府与各邦之间的争议问题等，由一名首席法官和30名大法官组成，全部由总统委任。陪审团审讯在60年代初被废除。各邦设有高等法院，县设有县法院。

立法机关

印度的立法机关采用两院制，分别为人民院（下院）和联邦院（上院）。人民院有545个议席，其中543席由直接选举产生，每5年举行一次大选。联邦院的250名成员由间接选举（238名）和委任（12名）产生，任期6年，每两年改选三分之一^[13]。
