根瘤菌科(学名:Rhizobiaceae)是属于变形菌门中的一个科,包含许多种的根瘤菌(但不是全部)和植物的寄生生物,如:土壤杆菌属。正如所有变形菌门中的生物,在根瘤菌科中也全属于革兰氏阴性菌。它们是好氧菌且细胞形状通常为杆状。其中有多种菌属于固氮生物,它们有固氮的能力且与植物共生。[2]
