成王誦，周武王子也。即位，以沖齡嗣位。周公旦攝政。管叔鮮、蔡叔度、霍叔處、王子武庚以殷之故地反。周公討平之。封衛康叔於殷地。越七年，周公還政於王。王營洛邑，東伐淮夷。滅奄，遷其君薄姑。成王弟虞，受封於唐地，是為晉國。王崩，遺命召公奭、畢公高佐王子釗。釗即位，是為周康王。成王、康王之世，形用鮮而鳥獸被德。國強，是故他國服之。
