علم طب بطور خاص علم التشریح (anatomy) کے بیانات میں فراھمی کے لفظ سے مراد کسی شریان کے ذریعہ خون حاصل کرنے والے حصوں یا اعضاء کی ہوا کرے ہے جس کو انگریزی کی زبان میں supply کہا جاتا ہے۔ حکمت کی کتب میں اس قسم کی فراھمی کے لیے تروید کا لفظ بھی آتا ہے جس کی جمع توریدات (supplies) کی جاوے ہے۔
