Kubâ İslam Peygamberi Muhammed'in Mekke'den Medine'ye hicret ederken konakladığı ve İslam tarihindeki ilk mescit olan Kuba Mescidini inşa ettirdiği köy.
Kubâ Asr-ı Saadet devrinde Mekke'den Medine'ye giden yol üzerinde ve Medine'ye 6 mil uzaklıkta bir köydü. Köy Hurma bahçeleri ile ünlü bir vahada kurulmuştu. Köy ismini buradaki bir kuyudan almıştı. İslam Peygamberi Muhammed hicret sırasında burada bir süre konakladı ve ilk mescit olan Kubâ Mescidini inşa ettirdi. Mescidin inşasında kendisi bizzat çalıştı. Peygamber Medine'ye yerleştikten sonra genelde hafta sonları Kubâ'yı ziyaret eder ve mescidde namaz kılardı. Kubâ Peygamberden sonraki dönemde gelişti. Osmanlılar zamanında 2. Mahmut ve Sultan Abdülmecid tarafından yenilendi ve tamir edildi. Zamanla büyüyen Kubâ Medine ile birleşti ve günümüzde Medine'nin bir mahallesi haline geldi.[1]
