Vennera, 27 Mart 1947'de Herkimer, New York'ta doğdu. 1975'te başladığı oyunculuk kariyerini 2021 yılına kadar sürdürdü. En çok Joe Mondragon rolünde olduğu yönetmenliğini Robert Redford'un yaptığı The Milagro Beanfield War adlı sinema filmi ile tanındı. Ayrıca rol aldığı yapımlarda sıkça oyuncu Joe Pesci'yi seslendirdi.
Yer aldığı yapımlar arasında sinema filmleri;; Grease, Thank God It's Friday ile TV dizisi; The Golden Girls sayılabilir. Vennera ayrıca 1980'li ve 1990'lı yıllarda Hanna-Barbera ve Warner Bros prodüksiyonu çizgi filmlerde seslendirme çalışmaları yaptı.
Vennera, 7 Temmuz 2021'de Burbank, Kaliforniya'da akciğer kanseri nedeniyle 74 yaşında öldü.[1]
