மெங்காரிஸ் மரம் (Koompassia excelsa) என்பது தென்கிழக்காசியா கண்டத்தில் போர்னியோ, மலேசியா, தாய்லாந்து, பிலிபைன்ஸ், இந்தோனேசியா போன்ற நாடுகளில் மிக உடரமாக வளரம் ஒரு மரம் ஆகும். இவை போர்னியோ நாட்டின் காடுகளில் அதிக அளவில் காணப்படுகிறது. பொதுவாக இவை 83 மீட்டர்கள் முதல் 88 மீட்டர்கள் வரை வளரக்கூடியது. இதன் வேர்கள் நிலத்தில் பரந்து விரிந்து காணப்படுகிறது.[3]
