Xhamia Yjore (e njohur edhe si Tara ose Sitara Masxhid), është një xhami e vendosur në Rrugën Abdul Khairat, në lagen Armanitola të Dhakës në Bangladesh. Xhamia ka dizajn dekorativ të zbukuruar me motivin e yjeve blu. Ajo u ndërtua në gjysmën e parë të shekullit të XIX nga Mirza Ghulam Piri (i quajtur edhe Mirza Ahmed Xhani).[1]

Fillimisht xhaminë e ndërtoi fisniku vendor, Mirza Ghulam Piri, prandaj ajo ishte e njohur si Xhamia e Mirza Ghulam Pirit.[2] Paraardhësit e Mirza Ghulam Pirit ishin vendosur në Mohalla Ale Abu Sajid (Armanitola e tanishme). Xhamia nuk është e datuar nga ndonjë mbishkrim, por duke ditur se Mirza Ghulam Piri vdiq në 1860, data e ndërtimit të saj duhet të jetë në gjysmën e parë të shekullit të XIX.[1] Nga ana tjetër libri me punime litografike "Panorama of the City of Dacca", i publikuar në 1850 nga Messrs. Dikinson e paraqet në një litografi xhaminë nën titullin "A House, building by Meerza Golam Peer"[3]
Fillimisht ishte një xhami gjatësore (10.06m x 4.04m) me tre kupola. Kishte tre mihrabe në murin e kiblës në bashkërenditje me tre hyrjet e xhamisë, nga të cilat qendrorja ishte më e madhja. Mbi dhomën e lutjeve ndodheshin tre kupolat, nga të cilat, qëndrorja ishte më e lartë dhe më e madhe se dy të tjerat. Kupolat mbahen në brendësi mbi trompa këndore. Ndërtesa origjinale e xhamisë nuk ishte e dekoruar siç është tani. Muri i thjeshtë dhe i zhveshur i anës perëndimore dëshmonte thjeshtësinë e të shkuarës së saj. Tre hyrjet jugore të xhamisë janë pa dyshim ato origjinale.[1]
Më vonë, në 1926, një sipërmarrës vendor i quajtur Ali Xhan Bepari e rinovoi xhaminë. Ai financoi riveshjen e saj me pllaka me modele të larmishme delikate dhe të pasura, si yjet blu dhe motive të tjera. Ai i shtoi edhe një verandë në anën lindore të saj, pak a shumë duke e dyfishuar gjerësinë e saj pa e ndryshuar modelin e saj fillestar. Në façatën lindore të verandës u ngritën pesë arkada mbi katër shtylla. Që atëherë xhamia mori emrin e tanishëm "Tara Masxhid" (ose dhe "Sitara Masxhid").[4]
Në 1987 xhamia u shndërrua në një xhami me pesë kupola. Tashmë, gjatësia dhe gjerësia e xhamisë janë 21.34m dhe 7.98m përkatësisht. Planimetria e saj pësoi disa ndryshime; një mihrab u shkatërrua dhe u shtuan tre mihrabë të rinj dhe dy kupola të tjera. Arkada pesë-harkore mundëson hyrjen në xhami. Harqet e shumëfishtë mbahen mbi shtylla tetëkënore.[1]
E ndërtuar fillimisht në Stilin Arkitekturor Mogul, ajo ishte një xhami e thjeshtë drejtkëndore, me përmasa 10 metres (33 ft) x 3.35 metres (11.0 ft) me tre dyer në façatën lindore (façata kryesore) dhe dy të tjera, një në murin verior dhe një në murin jugor. Në kohën e ndërtimit, Xhamia Yjore u projektua dhe ndërtua me tre kupola, të vendosura mbi dhomën e lutjeve, ku qendrorja ishte më e madhja. Kullat theksonin këndet dhe façatat shfaqnin panele të suvatuara dhe dekoruara. Ndërtesa ishte shumë e thjeshtë, me asnjë nga elementet dekorativë që shohim sot. Tre dyert harkore në anën jugore të xhamisë janë hyrjet origjinale.[2]
Rinovimin i saj në 1926, i shtoi një verandë ballore dhe sipërfaqja e saj, si brenda ashtu edhe jashtë u ribë në 'çini tikri'. 'Çini tikri' është një mozaik i dekoruar me copa porcelani, që qe popullor gjatë viteve 1930. Një pjesë përdor copa porcelani në ngjyra solide dhe formon modele nëpërmjet vendosjes së këtyre pjesëve të ngjyrosura në sipërfaqen e bardhë, ndërsa pjesa tjetër përdor copa qelqi të glazuar. Copat e porcelanit për mozaikun u morën enë porcelani japonez dhe anglez. Xhamia është një nga shembujt shumë të paktë të mbetur të dekorimit me këtë lloj mozaiku.
Kupolat dhe eksteriori u mbuluan me mozaik të dekoruar me motive me ngjyra në formë yjore. Në këndet e harqeve dhe gjetkë në fasadë një motiv i rëndësishëm dekorativ është vazoja me lule. Për dekorimin e xhamisë janë përdorur motive vazosh me lule, degësh lulesh, rozeta, gjysmë-hëna, yje dhe shkrimi kaligrafik arab. Muri i jashtëm midis dyerve është dekoruar me motivin japonez të Fuxhisanit (malit Fuxhi) mbi pllaka të glazuara, ndërsa pjesa e sipërme e fasadës dekorohet me një dizajn gjysmë-hëne dhe ylli. Mbi kupolat prej mermeri të bardhë janë krijuar qindra yje blu. Motivi i yjeve blu mbizotëron në të gjithë xhaminë gjë që i jep emrin "Xhamia Yjore" ("Tara" ose "Sitara Masxhid" në bengalisht).[1]
Përgjatë kohës, i janë bërë edhe shtesa dhe rinovime të tjera, por veçoria e motiveve yjore blu ka rezistuar. Në 1987, Ministria e Çështjeve Fetare dhe Departamenti i Arkitekturës kontraktoi Giasul Huque dhe Zahiruddin-in për të bërë zgjerimin e sallës së lutjeve, që të përfshinte edhe dy kupola të tjera. Kjo shtesë u dekorua gjithashtu me copa porcelani me forma yjore, të vendosura mbi sipërfaqen e bardhë. Këtë herë, një pjesë e strukturës origjinale u shemb për ti hapur rrugë dy kupolave të tjera dhe krijimin e pesë hyrjeve harkore. Megjithë shtesat dhe rinovimet e ndryshme, shumica e strukturës fillestare qëndron akoma.[2] Pjesa e sipërme e façatës lindore përfshin edhe motvin e gjysmë-hënës.
Punimi çini tikri mer një tjetër teksturë, duke përdorur copa të ndryshme qelqi të glazuara në sipërfaqen e brendshme. Tre mihrabët dhe dyert janë dekoruar me modele floreale mozaiku. Motivi i lules në vazo është përsëritur si te pendenti ashtu dhe te interiori i murit të verandës. Në sipërfaqen midis dyerve gjendet një element dekorativ japonez me motivin fuxhijama. Tre mihrabët dhe dyert e dekoruara me mozaik me model floreal. Motivi i vazos me lule përsëritet si një element dekorativ në pjesën e brendshme të murit të verandës.
