Ziyad Al-Nakhalah (born 6 April 1953) is a Palestinian politician. He has been the Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine since 2018, following the illness of former Secretary-General Ramadan Shalah. Ziyad was previously Deputy Secretary-General, and was elected as the movement’s new Secretary-General in late September 2018.[1]

Ziyad al-Nakhalah was born on 6 April 1953 in Khan Yunis, Gaza Strip, then under the Egyptian control. His father, Hajj Rushdi Al-Nakhalah, was killed in the city of Khan Yunis in 1956 during the Khan Yunis massacre against Egypt and Gaza.[2]
Ziyad Al-Nakhalah is married and has 4 daughters and 2 sons.[2]
