Spencer Ward Bohren (April 5, 1950 in Casper, Wyoming – June 8, 2019) was an American roots musician,[1] singer, songwriter, teacher, and visual artist.
He played guitar, lap steel guitar, banjo, and percussion, and utilizes the roots of American traditional music to write songs in blues, country, gospel and folk styles. He has released fourteen albums from 1984 until 2018.
Bohren died on June 8, 2019 from prostate cancer, aged 69.[2]
