Simon "Si" Ramo (May 7, 1913 – June 27, 2016) was an American physicist, engineer, business leader and author. He led development of microwave and missile technology and was sometimes known as the father of the intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM). He also developed General Electric's electron microscope. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Ramo died on June 27, 2016 in Santa Monica, California at the age of 103.[1]
