Rajput
Noble ruling community of South Asia also known as ‘Thakur’ From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rājput (from Sanskrit rājāputrā meaning son of a king) is a community belonging to the Indian subcontinent.[1][2] They claim descent from the Kshatriya dynasties (Chandravanshi and Suryavanshi) .[3][4][5][6]

Present scenario
At present the real Rajputs, in all the states of India, are considered a General caste (forward caste).[7] This means that they have no access to reservations in India’s positive discrimination of castes.[8] They were high in number in the armed services of India and at present too this community gives a large number of soldiers to the Indian defence forces.(Army, Navy, Airforce).[9][10][11]
