The New York State Legislature is the state legislature of the U.S. state of New York. It is made up of two houses: the New York State Assembly (lower house) and the New York State Senate (upper house). It meets at the New York State Capitol in Albany, New York.
Session laws passed by the Legislature are published in the official Laws of New York.[1][2]
The Democratic Party currently controls both houses of the legislature.
