Ned Jarrett (born October 12, 1932) is a retired race car driver and two-time NASCAR Grand National Series champion. He was born in Conover, North Carolina. He was best known for his calm attitude and he became known as "Gentleman Ned Jarrett".[1] He is the father of former drivers Glenn Jarrett and Dale Jarrett and grandfather of Jason Jarrett.
Jarrett was added into the 2011 class of the NASCAR Hall of Fame on May 18 2011.[2]
