Nancy Kwan

Nancy Kwan Ka-shen (Chinese: 關家蒨; pinyin: Guān Jiāqiàn; Jyutping: Gwaan1 Gaa1sin6; born May 19, 1939)[1] is a Hong Kong-born American actress, businesswoman and activist. She was born in British Hong Kong.

Kwan was an important figure in Hollywood accepting actors of Asian ancestry.[2] Kwan's best known roles were The World of Suzie Wong, Flower Drum Song, The Wrecking Crew, Lt. Robin Crusoe, U.S.N., Fate Is the Hunter, The Main Attraction and Drop Dead Darling.

In 1961, Kwan won a Golden Globe Award for her role in The World of Suzie Wong.

In 1976, she married Norbert Meisel. They had one son, Bernie. He died of AIDS in the 1990s.[3] Kwan retired in 2016.
