Moufida Tlatli (Tunisian Arabic: مفيدة التلاتلي; 4 August 1947 – 7 February 2021) was a Tunisian movie director and politician. She was the first Arab woman to direct a full feature-length movie (The Silences of the Palace) in the Arab World. She was born in Sidi Bou Saïd, French Tunisia. Her career began in 1970. In 2011, she was the Minister of Culture.
Tlatli died on 7 February 2021 in Tunis from COVID-19 at the age of 73.[1]
