Hardy's reign was not recognized by Extreme Rising.[22]
The title was vacated in 1999 when The Hardy Boyz signined contracts with the WWF.
During his first reign the title was called "WWE Tag Team Championship" and was exclusive to SmackDown. His second and third reigns happened when the title was exclusive to Raw and was renamed "WWE Raw Tag Team Championship".
